For the past few Thursday nights in June, we’ve enjoyed some fun events to wrap up the end of our 2016-2017 year of Youth Group. We kicked things off on June 8th with our annual 6th Grade Party. This was our official event to welcome graduating 6th graders to EBCYG. From here through the rest of the summer and beyond, we consider them to be part of our Youth Group.
For our 6th Grade Party, we played some outdoor games involving water balloons but made sure to provide the kids with water protective gear. AKA, big plastic bags. Because we’re classy and thoughtful like that.
We ended the night with some awesome cakes provided by the Belano family. It was the perfect way to finish up a great night of celebration.
We celebrated our graduating Seniors the following Thursday and also held a Four Square Tournament. We had a great group of about 40 kids but for some reason I didn’t bring my camera so you’ll just have to take my word that it was an incredible evening of fun. And finally, a week after that, we held our annual Thunderball Tournament.
Thunderball continues to be our youth group’s favorite made up game.
The winning team of the night was “The Pink Shirts.”
All in all, it was a great night of thunderball and a wonderful way to officially wrap up another amazing year of EBCYG. However, the end of the 2016-2017 year means the official beginning of Summer Youth Group. We’ll kick things off with a week of NTS Camp and then officially start EBCYG at the Beach on July 19th. If you have a going-into-7th grade through 12th grade student, we would love to have them join us for our Summer Youth Group events. You can check out www.ebcyg.com for more information.
